Creating the Well-Living Workplace

Course Synopsis

The well-living workplace is not a destination where you arrive and say “We made it!”

Instead, it’s a pathway you follow to create a place of work where people enjoy what they do and do what they enjoy as they ethically draw resources from their market_space and give back significant, worthy and useful products, services and experiences to their community.

There is no “ONE” way to create a well-living workplace.

Instead, there is “YOUR” way in the words of those involved on your terms.

Of importance – your decision to move into creating the well-living workplace is called a business or workplace pivot. It’s a conscious organizational realignment all stakeholders communicate through the commitments they make and keep.


In “simplest, straightest” terms creating a well-living workplace requires you to realign the vision, systems, and people. That is, to CREATE A PLACE OF WORK (systems) WHERE AND WHEN ALL STAKEHOLDERS (people) LIVE AND WORK WELL TOGETHER (vision).

Therefore, there are ways to contribute within, without, between, together, and beyond to develop and deliver the well-living workplace approach.

  1. Create your well-living workplace framework to serve as a lean and agile touchstone for stakeholder involvement

  2. Define your starting parameters of the well-living workplace model with input from all stakeholders

  3. Frame your Imagined Future through describing and explaining your organizational mission, vision, and values

  4. Use stories to focus persons on the intended outcomes, direction, and steps

  5. Identify the issues, initiatives, and measures affecting your workplace

  6. Implement a plan of action with accountabilities and timelines

  7. Challenge the systems and processes you use every day

  8. Document insights as wise practices and inspired standards

  9. Celebrate action_outcomes with employees, customers, and community
